Unbiased review of Transforce

Transforce is one of the best and most addicting games once you get a hang of it. You will start out slow trying to figure everything thing out but if you use the chat box everything is made 1000000 times easier because everyone will help you.
Graphics: 7/10.
While Graphical quality isn’t the most important thing in games like this, it IS still a factor. Some of the graphics are pretty, like the Instance background, Character avatar’s, and the “Quest Finished” girl. However, once we’re passed these things, the remaining graphics all feel rather small and “forced” into their places; It’s like they were crudely resized in MS Paint to fit the pixel width/height for Transforce’s screen. Though the small graphics aren’t bad, they’re tough to look at, and equally tough to try noting details on them.Story: n/a
Transforce really doesn’t have a story, but then it doesn’t really NEED one either. No score for Story.Originality: 5/10
Let’s face it: Their are a LOT of games like this on the internet. These city-building sims/PVP RTS games are very common lately, and as such, each one needs to stand out from the others to be noticed. Transforce stands out as the only Mech/Robot/Transformers based one, and the Stats system for your Hero’s is unique in that it’s very simplistic, as opposed to the elaborate Stat layouts seen in other games. However, since the game is nothing ground-breakingly new, I cannot give it a higher score.Gameplay: 6/10
As I said above, the Gameplay is, to be expected, very similar to other games of this genre. So, it needs to either: Stand out with Unique features, or Do what other games do only better. Transforce has very simple, hands-off gameplay; No direct control over Hero’s or Unit’s once the battle begins, so the aspect of Skill is immediately ruled out as a factor in the game. The simulation for the game is far too strict too; If you run the same battle 100000 times, you get the EXACT same result every single time. This is good if you’re winning each battle, but bad for the loser of the battle. With a system like this, it’s 100% impossible for certain people to beat certain others, which hinders gameplay for some, and can be seen as an annoyance.Governing your population, building new….Buildings…, researching Technology, and building Units, I can’t really say are “Fun”, but they are simple to do and anyone can pick-up and do them. My main gripe is that the later levels of Tech and Buildings, along with large numbers of Units, take DAYS to finish making. You really cannot “play” this game every single day, since you’re always waiting for your troops/tech/buildings to be finished. I understand that it has to take longer for higher amounts/levels of things, but it really gets to be too much after a while. 170 hours for one Tech? This is just too much time to wait. (That’s about 7 days)
Final Score: 6/10
Transforce does some things right, and when it does, they’re pretty good. However, everything it DOESN’T do right, tends to be rather bad. Their are a plethora of things to do, but long Que times hinder your ability to do anything, and to even play the game every day.
